Our History
Serving since
1997
Combined Agents of America was established in 1997 through a collaborative effort among independent insurance agents in Central Texas. After a period of strategic planning, these founding agents developed a model that allowed agencies to retain their independence while pooling premiums to secure stronger partnerships with insurance carriers. When presented to leading insurance companies, the concept was quickly embraced. On October 1, 1997, Combined Agents of America (CAA), LLC was officially formed. With the support of legal counsel, CAA’s leadership established its operating framework, regulatory guidelines, and governance structure, while fulfilling licensing requirements and beginning to grow the network. Since its inception, CAA has expanded from seven founding agencies to more than 85 members, representing over $2.5 billion in combined property and casualty premium. Today, CAA partners with top-rated insurance carriers across Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Texas, with a continued focus on thoughtful expansion into additional states. CAA remains committed to strengthening carrier and member relationships, preserving agency independence, and driving long-term profitability for its members. Prospective members are carefully evaluated through underwriting and financial performance standards, including profitability and loss ratio analysis. Agencies must also demonstrate strong leadership within their local markets. |
